Ambassador Patricia Espinosa is Founding Partner and General Director of onepoint5, a consulting company specialising in the environment, social responsibility and corporate governance, with a dedicated focus on climate change.

A career diplomat, Ambassador Espinosa is a respected leader on the international stage, with more than 40 years of experience at the highest level of multilateral negotiations and international relations. Prior to the creation of onepoint5, she served as Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (2016-2022), Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Mexico (2006-2012) and ambassador of Mexico to the Federal Republic of Germany (2013- 2016) and Austria, Slovakia and Slovenia (2002-2006).

Ambassador Espinosa completed a degree in International Relations at El Colegio de México and completed postgraduate studies in international law at the Institute of Higher International and Development Studies in Geneva. In 2012 she was designated Ambassador Emerita, the highest recognition granted to diplomats by the Mexican State. She has been decorated by the governments of Germany, Argentina, Austria, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, El Salvador, Guatemala, the Netherlands, Paraguay and Peru. Ambassador Espinosa is widely recognized as an authoritative voice on issues related to sustainability, environmental protection, gender equality and protection of human rights, and a recognized and respected figure in international forums and, in particular, in Latin America and the Caribbean.
