Before joining ExxonMobil in 1998, Ms. Guven worked as an energy economist at the World Bank in Washington D.C. specializing in the Former Soviet Union. Ms. Guven’s experience at ExxonMobil includes business development in the Caspian, business planning in LNG, geopolitical risk management, international government relations, and most recently policy development. In addition to the U.S., Ms. Guven held positions in Kazakhstan, Turkey and most recently Belgium.

Ms. Guven has a B.A. in Economics from Bosphorus University in Istanbul, an M.A. in energy and environment from the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Johns Hopkins University, Washington D.C. and an MBA from George Washington University, Washington, D.C. She is fluent in English, Turkish, Italian, and has working knowledge of Russian and French.
